Eberron Campaign Setting
Eberron is a bit darker than your traditional D&D setting, with plenty of mystery and scheming.
The main focus of Eberron is Khorvaire, the main continent. Nearly 1000 years ago, the Kingdom of Galifar was founded, formed from five nations; Aundair, Breland, Thrane, Karrnath, and Cyre. Over 100 years ago, the last king of Galifar, King Jarot, died, plunging the Kingdom into a civil war lasting 102 years. Two years ago a treaty was signed officially ending the war known as The Last War. It is an uneasy peace and the map of Khorvaire has changed dramatically since the start of the war. Cyre has been completely destroyed by forces unknown and is now a hostile wasteland, and several minor nations have emerged and vie for power.
Eberron is a world of wondrous magic. A working class of minor mages use ritual magic to provide energy and other necessities in towns and cities. Artificers construct elemental airships, lighting railways, and even sentient, free-willed constructs.
